Jasmine Batra lives the Australia India Innovation Bridge in practice.. She keynotes, sits on panels, and chairs the rooms where all stakeholders are in the conversation.
Sets the context for the room. 25 to 60 minutes, five signature sessions, built for your audience.
Panellist
The practitioner voice on bilateral trade, market entry and Asia capability panels. Brings founder-level detail to policy-level discussions.
Moderator
Chairs bilateral dialogues, roundtables and industry panels. Co-convenes Tech, Innovation and Startups at the Australia India Chamber of Commerce.
“Government talks macro. Founders are deep in the details.”
Giving evidence at Australian Parliament on Building Asia Capability.
The practitioner in the room
Government talks macro. Founders are deep in the details. Jasmine works in the gap between them.
She founded The Big LEAP Accelerator, an AusIndustry backed program operating as the Australia India Tech & Innovation Superhighway. She has led founder immersions across Bengaluru and Hyderabad, and built more than 130 institutional collaborations across innovation, policy and international partnerships.
She co-convenes Tech, Innovation and Startups at the Australia India Chamber of Commerce. She gave evidence to the Australian Parliament's inquiry into building Asia capability. She writes on the relationship in The Age and Startup Daily.
Before all of it, she spent 20 years building and running Melbourne digital agency from zero. A multi-awarded and longest standing independent marketing agency working with ASX listed and family run businesses.
So the market entry stories are not case studies she read. They are cohorts she has walked through customs, into meetings, and out the other side.
Chairing the conversation
Bilateral panels fail in a predictable way. Each speaker delivers their organisation’s position, nobody disagrees, and the room leaves with a communiqué instead of an insight.
Jasmine moderates by bringing different perspectives. She has run programs on both sides of the relationship, so she knows which question a panellist is best placed to answer so the audience goes back having learnt things they haven’t before.
Bilateral dialogues and roundtables
Conference and summit panels
Government and industry forums
Founder and investor panels
Awards and fireside conversations
Available as chair or as the practitioner voice as a panelist.
Five sessions. Built for five different rooms.
Every session is rebuilt for your audience.
1
Why Most Global Expansion Playbooks Fail in India
Keynote · 30 to 45 minutes
The playbook that worked in Singapore will not work in Bengaluru. The five assumptions Australian companies carry into India and what each one costs them. Delivered at the UNSW Global Launchpads Summit.
Best for: tech conferences, trade summits, scaleup programs
Audience leaves with: a red flag checklist to run against their own India plan
2
The 3Cs of Market Readiness
Keynote or workshop · 45 to 90 minutes
Context ready. Conversation ready. Conversion ready. Most companies are one of three and think they are all three. Jasmine’s own framework, built from running immersions in both directions.
Best for: industry associations, export programs, chambers of commerce
Audience leaves with: a scored self assessment across all three stages
3
You went on a Trade Mission. Now what?
Keynote · 30 to 45 minutes
Trade missions are acquitted on attendance. Conversion happens months later when the program infrastructure is already gone. A direct look at why bilateral trade activity underperforms and what a serious program looks like instead.
Best for: government agencies, trade bodies, policy forums, delegation briefings
Audience leaves with: a different measure of what a successful mission actually is
4
What Does Australian Look Like?
Keynote · 25 to 40 minutes
Australia’s Asia capability problem is not a skills problem. It is an identity problem. Migrant founders and bicultural operators are the most underused trade asset in the country. Adapted from Jasmine’s opinion piece in The Age.
Best for: leadership summits, inclusion programs, corporate all hands, university events
Audience leaves with: a rethink of who they promote into global roles
5
Cross Country Communication
Workshop · half day or full day
The practical mechanics of doing business across the divide. Meeting rhythm, decision authority, follow up, silence, escalation. Run for the CSIRO RISE program.
Best for: corporate teams with Indian operations, accelerator cohorts, delegations pre departure
Audience leaves with: scripts and a communication protocol for their own accounts
