As India rapidly cements its position as one of the world’s most dynamic economies, Australian companies are increasingly looking east to expand their global footprint. But navigating India’s vast and complex market requires more than just ambition—it demands local insights, strategic partnerships, and a deep understanding of cultural nuances.
I’m looking forward to my panel on Monday at SXSW Sydney that dives deep into how Australian companies can successfully expand into India—one of the world’s most dynamic markets.

Jason Titman – Non-Executive Director at Findi, an ASX-listed fintech company with primary operations in India and presence across 33 states. Jason brings invaluable experience on scaling in a complex market and navigating India’s financial infrastructure. 
Renata Sguario – Founder & CEO of Maxme, an early-stage startup making waves in India’s skills development sector. Renata will share her journey of breaking into the Indian market and how human skills are shaping the future of digital economies. 
The Hon Barry OFarrell– Former Australian High Commissioner to India and former Premier of New South Wales. He will offer deep diplomatic and political insights on leveraging bilateral ties and what he learnt from negotiating comprehensive economic trade agreements between Australia and India. 
And myself – As a catalyst in the Australia-India tech & innovation ecosystem, I’ll draw from my experience facilitating cross-border collaborations and lessons from running AusIndustry backed Big LEAP Accelerator Program, including taking multiple tech founder delegations from Australia to India.
